Telepresence technology is a simple but effective way of keeping sick kids connected to school. We place telepresence robots in classrooms and sick kids can control them from their laptop in hospital or at home. Through the robots the kids can see, hear and take part in learning. Most importantly, the connection helps them maintain vital relationships and minimises the sense of loneliness and isolation. Because children should be seen and heard.
